Aly Goni did his schooling from Jammu and moved to Chandigarh for higher studies. He took admission in an Engineering college in Chandigarh. During his college, He start modelling and gave auditions for many shows meanwhile, he won Mr India Stardom which was organized by IFTI.
He started his TV journey from MTV Splitsvilla season 5 in 2012. After the show he shifted to Mumbai to try his luck in TV industry. He acted in many daily soaps like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein as Romi Bhalla, Kuch To Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan as lead character Vibhav Raj, Yeh Kahan Aa Gye Hum as Kabir Raichand, Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant as Viraat Bhalla, Naagin as Vyom. Aly performed in Dance reality show Nach Baliye 9 with her ex-girlfriend Natasha Stankovic and became 4 runner-up in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 9.
